This T-Rex Race Will Have You Rolling

October 31, 2017 in Comedy, Commentary, kids, News, Review

When people get together, there’s no limit to the things they can come up with. We spike our watermelons with Vodka for crying out loud. We are very interesting people.

Of course, the T-Rex costume is one of those great ideas. When you watch someone walk in it, you have to laugh. It looks funny and it’s the greatest thing ever.

So, how do you think you’d react when you see a whole bunch of them running across a bridge? You know you’re going to roll. It’s great times a whole bunch of great.

In Nashville, a whole bunch of kids dressed up as T-Rex got in line and ran across the bridge. They ran through the streets even, stopping traffic and having walkers wondering what’s going on. Could you imagine having a T-Rex stampede coming at you?

That’s enough to freak anyone out. It reminds me of people dressed up in those huge Sumo Wrestler costumes. One push the wrong way and you’re on the ground rolling around with absolutely no way to get up. It’s great fun for friends who want to head out to the yard and blow off some steam.

You can definitely get some great Youtube footage from that. If you are at a loss for your next Youtube video to go viral, get a couple Sumo Wrestler costumes and walk around town. Wrestle in the middle of a busy street. Of course, you’ll stop traffic. But, I dare anyone not to laugh. If people don’t laugh, they need to slow their lives down and take a minute to start enjoying stuff again.

Or better yet, get all your friends to dress up in T-Rex costumes and storm the town. That will bring smiles to the faces of everyone you see.

Kathy Griffin Fires Back At TMZ And Andy Cohen

October 28, 2017 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, News

I thought I was going to have to slam Kathy Griffin for crying about the heat she’s taking in Hollywood. I mean, isn’t she the one who dogs everyone on the A-List and has no filter when it comes to putting everyone’s business out there? Yes, that’s her.

But, I don’t have to slam her. This is not one of those “if you can’t take it, don’t dish it out” moments. I mean, that would be laughable.

Think about it! If she put out a video crying about how people are treating her and dishing up dirt on her, that would be hilarious. I love her. But, I’d have to laugh. You can’t build your career on trashing the people you’re in business with and then expect them to treat you with kid’s gloves.

But, that’s not what Kathy Griffin does. No, this is Kathy Griffin in true Kathy Griffin fashion. She fires back! She doesn’t wine and cry. She doesn’t beg for mercy. She tears it up.

She does the big girl thing and she fires back in the way only Kathy Griffin knows how. She puts their business out there. She names people and then spills the dirt. It’s great.

I know her reputation has taken some hits. But, this is the test. This is what makes legends out of stars. Some people make it to the highest levels of Hollywood and then fall off the map because they can’t handle one stupid scandal.

But, Hollywood is full of scandal! You have to take it. In fact, it’s kind of the mark of a true star. If you’re waltzing through Hollywood without any drama, you’re not trying hard enough. You’re definitely not going to make the headlines.

The National Inquirer will never run a fake story about you and after all, isn’t that what all the stars want? Kathy Griffin has plenty of fake stories written about her. She’s had an alien baby that was taken to planet Xeron at birth and she’s been a secret spy for the government of Nauru. Good stuff!

But no, Kathy Griffin is handling it. She’s staying relevant. She’s staying true to herself. And that’s what you have to do in Hollywood if you’re going to stay in Hollywood. She could make a living doing this!

New Netflix Show ‘Girlboss’ Is Nailing It

May 6, 2017 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Review, Shows

Sophia seems like a lost teen who has no idea what she’s doing. She’s working in a store with no respect for her supervisor and she doesn’t care much about the job to begin with. It’s not long before she’s fired. So, takes off and buys a jacket. Then, she steals a rug and has a squat at the park.

That’s right! That’s how the show starts. Really kind of random right? But, it catches your interest. Knowing that the real Sophia is a businesswoman who once owned and was the CEO of Nasty Gal, a company that was doing almost $100 million in sales at one point. Actually, there are different reports about how much it was making at its highest point. But, it doesn’t matter. Nasty Gal climbed pretty high and what’s awesome is the unorthodox way in which it was done. Forget all the negative press about the company now. Of course, they made mistakes.

The question is how did Sophia go from a lost young twenty-something to the CEO of a multi-million dollar company? You have to admit, you want to know. Trust me, you won’t be let down. It’s not a show about the business really. It’s hard to explain. It is about the business, but it’s more about Sophia.

It’s comedy wrapped around drama and it fills a void. The show is for real. It comes at you and it finds interesting ways to tell the story without rushing. How did she meet her best friend? That’s an episode of really cool flashbacks.

How did she lose her business on Ebay? They bring an online forum to life with a round table and the chat of several members sitting behind their nameplates. The jealousy is hilarious and how they plot against her is outrageous. She wakes up one morning to find her account suspended. Does that stop her? No! Nothing is stopping this girl who found a way to do what she absolutely loved doing because she hated doing everything else.

I give the writers an A+! It’s writing like the following scene that makes the show so intelligently humorous and captivating:

When Annie is offered a promotion and she’s deciding whether or not to take it:
Annie’s Boss – “This is your Sliding Doors moment.”
Annie – “I never saw Sliding Doors. I bought a ticket. But, didn’t go. I wonder how my life would have turned out if I had gone.”

And Scenes Like These

Of course, the internet’s full of articles about how unfortunate it is for the show and the feminist movement that Donald Trump is in office and that the business just filed for bankruptcy. That’s pretty much the buzz and many people seem to agree on that angle. I’m not going to go into all that because I watched the show for the entertainment value and the fact that Sophia comes across as a brat doesn’t turn me off at all. She fights for what she wants. If you want to know how the show affects the feminist movement or what they think about it, there are more than enough gossip rags highlighting those things.

It’s best to go through life not putting people into categories. You don’t cloud your brain with expectations and you can see people for who they really are. Despite her temper tantrums, you’ll love her attitude. The way she looks at life and how she gets things done will grow on you. All of this wrapped up in a funny and entertaining show with moments of ‘real’ splashed entirely through it. Imagine that!

Here’s A Good Look At Who Sophia Is

Homeless Man Blows Girl’s Mind And Gets His Date: But Then What?

November 22, 2016 in Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Review

If you want a girl, you have to learn some moves from this homeless guy. He has all the right things to say. He totally turns it around from her being apprehensive to listening to what he has to say.

This is just another one of those hysterical skits that has me wondering how Andrew Bowser isn’t a star already. He’s the homeless man in the video. But, that’s not all. He’s been doing awesome videos for years.

A Satanist At The Statue Unveiling

When I first noticed him, he was in a very viral video about the unveiling of the Satanic statue in Detroit. They were interviewing other people. But, his interview was very different. It was poetic and awkward at the same time. It made me want to laugh, but I thought it was for real. So, I just shook my head and moved on with my life.

In The News Again

But then, he pops up in a news bit about an old lady who drove through an Arby’s. This time he’s a worker in the store and not just a part of the audience. That’s when I realized this guy might be onto something. This is a good bit. Take regular news stories and put your commentary into them. He’s hilarious to listen to how he makes his words blend together poetically. But, he has those awkward pauses that are perfectly timed. He’s got something. He should be onto bigger and better things any time soon.

Get Ready To Run! These Brutal Pranks Are Hilarious And Serious At The Same Time

July 17, 2016 in Comedy, Entertainment

What would be your worst nightmare? Monsters under the bed? Something jumping out of the closet?

Some people have a fear of blood while others have a fear of crickets. It’s weird how these things happen, and they are all so random. I once listened to a lady describing her fear of ice cubes. You know, because they’re so scary and all.

I think mine would be getting a phone call from a random girl I can’t even remember her name, “You might have an STD. You should get tested. STD Testing Plus is good for that.”

That just might ruin my day. That wouldn’t be the best phone call I have ever had. I don’t know how many random girls I have out there, but I hope I never get a phone call like that from one of them. That just might be my greatest fear, that and drowning. I don’t think I’d like to drown.

So, what’s your fear?

If you’re having a hard time coming up with something, watch this video. After you get past the laughing stage watching these people freak out, you just might realize what you are really afraid of.

Classic 1975 Children’s Book Teaches Young Readers All About How Babies Are Made

June 23, 2016 in Books, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Review

Have you ever wondered how you were going to explain the birds and the bees to your kids? When they come to you asking how they got here, are you going to tell them a stork brought them or are you going to struggle through the details of love, sex, and pregnancy? Or the details of a drunken night, no condom, and the big oops?

This book is your solution. It goes there. It does not hold back on the details, complete with illustrations and everything. That’s right, illustrations of sex, pregnancy, and labor all in this innocent 1975 children’s book.

How a Baby is Made was written by Per Holm Knudsen and it’s so honest about the exact facts, it makes for a great coffee table decoration. Break it out at parties and pass it around. But, make sure you can trust the people who handle it if you are lucky enough to obtain a copy. It sells for over $200 right now.

This video is based on the book. The illustrations from the book are in the video, only they are now animated. So if you don’t have the money to buy a copy of How a Baby is Made, just show them this video when they start asking questions. Either that or pop some adult smut in and let that spark the conversation.

Insanely Hilarious Interview On ‘Maya & Marty:’ Jiminy Glick With Ricky Gervais

June 22, 2016 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Shows, Television

It begins with Jiminy Glick calling his guest “Steve Carell.” That sets the tone for what you are about to see in this hilarious interview with Ricky Gervais.

Jiminy Glick is an awesome character created by comedian genius Martin Short. He has created so many awesome characters throughout the years and he nails humor like it’s second nature to him. So, what does he bring to the table when he does Jiminy Glick?

A guy who misses most points, or could care less about them. He waves off the important details and moves on to more trivial matters. He flips around in his chair and makes himself comfortable, avoiding all unspoken rules of on air interviews. But here’s the thing, you know you’re on when you have Ricky Gervais laughing through the interview.

Ricky Gervais, who is a comedic genius himself, has stood in front of Hollywood and tore everyone in the audience a new one. And because he’s so great, he had them laughing at themselves. It takes a special kind of talent to do that. So, get ready for the fun to begin.

‘Castle’ Joins The List Of Shows That Are Being Canceled

May 14, 2016 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Television

I’ve got to admit that my love for the show Castle has been dropping over the last few weeks. First, I hear that the stars of the show Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic don’t really even like each other. Then, it gets out that Stana Katic is leaving the show. But, this is the worst news yet.

Just when Nathan thought he was going to have the show all to himself and everything else was going to get shifted around to accommodate that, the show itself gets canceled. But, I have to be honest. When the show was hot, it was hot. Loved every scene of it. But, where do you go from her being the Captain and him being a P.I.? It kind of fell apart when the writers made those turns.

the starsLet’s get back to that first thing though. What a shock that Nathan And Stana don’t even like each other huh? What a blow! They have to be the best actors in the world to have us believing week after week that they are in love. They don’t skip a beat.

Their chemistry works. The way they look at each other has us sitting in the seats wishing we had a relationship that hot and steamy. But then again, there is a rule about the stage. If it’s hot and steamy on the set, nothing’s going on between them. When they lose the passion, that’s when they hooked up. So for these two to be able to bring that kind of heat and passion to the screen, they must have hated each other. The whole total reverse.

Of course, I had no delusions that they were a real couple off the screen. But to not even like each other, to have those egos too big for one show, that’s a hard one to take. I like them liking each other. I like the thought of them liking each other. But whatever, the show is getting canceled. I’m over it.

stanaWhen it was announced Stana Katic was leaving the show, that was the first thought that came to mind. How is the show going to work without her? It can’t. The show might be called Castle, but she’s the muse. She’s the reason Castle came to work at the police department. So, she’s the show every bit as much as he is. Take that huge piece out of the machinery and the machine no longer works.

Of course, shows like this try to survive by finding new players to come in and play new roles. Sometimes, they try to find a replacement for the roles that made the show in the first place. That doesn’t always work. It takes a great actor or actress to come onto a show and step into a role created by someone who has big shoes to fill.

Other times, they leave that alone and just introduce new characters. They’re not trying to take the place of anyone. Just adding to the show. Bringing something new that gives the show a whole new dynamic. That can work. I’ve seen it work. But, it’s also a gamble.

It’s like trying to be someone you’re not when you’re dating and then changing into a someone totally different when the relationship gets real. It’s not what the fans bought into. Take the stuff that works away and the show might as well call it quits. Again, it takes some real special people to keep it alive and turn the fans in a whole new direction.

Guess Castle wasn’t even about to try that. Yet another show goes down that I like. I’m getting used to it I guess. While I stay steady loyal to my shows, the networks are always finding ways to get rid of me.

But tell me the reason, why do you ruin this:

If You Have An Annoying Stalker, This Adele ‘Hello’ Spoof Is The Balm

February 5, 2016 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Music, Review

The balm that heals all that ails you. Stalkers have gone new level. Now, they don’t even have to get out of bed. They can stalk from drones with cameras and watch the footage.

Remember the day when stalkers had to actually follow you? They had to hide in bushes and write anonymous notes. They had to buy binoculars and track your every move.

Technology has given them so many more tools to do their work. With GPS and a drone, they can sit on their couch and watch everything you do from the comfort of their own home. Gone are the days of them getting caught in the rain.

adele hello

This is a hilarious video that shows how easy it is now for stalkers to be annoying. Taking the Adele “Hello” song lyrics, they’ve added a whole different meaning Adele never could have imagined.

Steve Carell And Rashida Jones Hit A Home Run With ‘Angie Tribeca’

January 18, 2016 in Celebrities, Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, Review, Television

I know Nancy Carell has something to do with the show. Like she might be a producer or something right along with her husband Steve. But, mentioning her name in the title would have made it too long. So…

Angie Tribeca is hilarious comedy reminiscent of Leslie Nielsen in Police Squad!, or even Leslie Nielsen in Naked Gun. Quite possibly the humor of Leslie Nielsen in Airplane!

It’s the kind of fast paced humor with jokes coming out of nowhere. The thousand jokes per minute type of comedy that makes viewers laugh the whole time and miss jokes while they’re cackling like a kangaroo in a boxing match.

In the pilot episode, there is a running scene where the guy they are chasing is jogging. Detective Geils is sprinting around corners and flipping over obstacles like a parkour pro. Tribeca has to staple a paper suit together to get in the race and ends up getting the guy. That’s the kind of humor you can expect and that barely scratches the surface.

The best joke though is that they are in Season 2, or so they would have you think. But if you follow television, you might be thinking, “When did Season 1 run?”

The Pilot appears to be scheduled to run on January 25, 2016. That’s right! Do the math and you realize that Season 1 was introduced in the Binge Marathon that started January 17, 2016. Your mind is not playing tricks on you. TBS is!

With a 25 hour marathon scheduled and the entire season ending just a little over 4 hours into it, you’ll have plenty of chances until 10 pm on the 18th to catch all of the episodes of Season 1. This has to be the most unique idea in television history. Is Season 2 for real? Has it been made yet? Or is this just a really interesting gimmick to get comedy enthusiasts and Rashida Jones fans like me interested in a show to see if there will even be a Season 2.

Stay tuned for my first installment of Steve Carell And Rashida Jones Hit A Home Run With ‘Angie Tribeca’. It should be a good article if you like reading that kind of stuff.

Is Butt Chugging Cough Syrup The Grossest Thing On The Internet

December 18, 2015 in Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, kids, News, Review, Society

I do believe I am actually trying to start a debate and, for no reason at all. Just to have something to do. Actually, that’s not true. I really DO want to know what the grossest thing on the internet is.

First of all, it starts with this video “Exploring the internet with Katie Notopoulos.” In it she makes the claim that what she’s showing you is the grossest thing on the internet. I have to admit, it’s pretty gross. You’ll see what I mean when you watch.

But before you do that, can we all just admit that Katie Notopoulos is gorgeous? Of course, she’s intelligent and funny too. But, I like acknowledging beauty when I see it and she has it. Okay, enough of that. Check out a new trend that kids are trying. It’s what Katie notoriously claimed was the grossest thing on the internet.

By the way, here are the images that were blurred out:

Take a closer look!

You know what, get up in there!

Now that we have established what Katie thinks is the grossest thing on the internet, I’m just going to leave this video right here for you. Let me know if you don’t think this might be more gross! Of course, I’d like to see what you got. So don’t hesitate to SHARE a video or a photo and pass this around to all your friends on FACEBOOK!
