Once Upon A Time: Are You Kidding Me

May 15, 2012 in Entertainment

I invested twenty-two weeks, which turns out to be about sixteen hours of viewing time to learn how the curse is broken in Once Upon A Time. She kisses him on the forehead!

Are you kidding me with this? I watched Snow White when I was a kid. I saw Prince Charming kiss her and bring her back to life. Emma could have done that a long time ago.  In fact, I think she might have kissed him on the forehead once or twice. Why wasn’t the curse broken then?

Because it was a different curse!  Major mistake in the writing of the show. Remember, the original curse was that no one had any memory of fantasy land and there were no happy endings?

Bringing Henry back to life had nothing to do with that curse. Henry ate the apple and that’s a whole different curse. She kisses him on the forehead and brings him back to life from that curse.

So now all of a sudden, Snow remembers Charming. Belle remembers Rumplestiltsken. Granny and the Big Bad Wolf wake up from their nap. The nurse looks at Regina and tells her to hide, her majesty. How did that curse get broken?

And don’t say it was the kiss on the forehead. I’ve been kissed before on the forehead and it’s not that powerful.  In fact, it’s one of the least powerful kisses of all.

Then, Rumplestiltsken drops the potion into the well saying magic is power. Regina looks out her window and sees it coming. The smile across her face is the most wicked one of all. What in the world is that about?

Is this story not over yet? Will there be a Season 2? The word on the street is affirmative, there will be a Season 2. I guess they planned on this a long time ago. I just didn’t’ get the memo. I didn’t think this show could have anywhere else to go. But, I’ll save that rant and rave for another time altogether.
