This Year’s Halloween Fail Compilation: Thanks For The Memories

November 1, 2017 in Commentary, Entertainment, kids, Review, Society

So many people try hard on Halloween. They go all out in when it comes to decorating their house, throwing the best parties, and wearing the most awesome costume. Then, there are these guys.

They tried. You have to give them that. But, they missed the mark…just a little bit. Some people just don’t have it in them. There is a line between idea and reality. Some people can take an idea and put it into reality. Some people think they can, but miss terribly.

Either they aren’t very creative and that happens, or they just don’t have the skill. That happens too! Not everyone has a creative imagination that comes with stepping up and doing Halloween in style.

Some people just didn’t have that follow-through. They had a good idea. But, implementing it wasn’t their strong suit. It takes creativity and artistic ability to pull some things off and not everyone has those things.

That’s why so many people just go to the store. They have everything there. They already have the costumes and the masks. They already have the decorations. Just do that if you find yourself on this list or in the video at the end.

Everyone loves that you gave it your best try. But, hang it up kid. You don’t have to be the best at everything. Just stay in your own lane.

That’s Close Enough

Why Did The DOJ Reword The Orlando 911 Transcripts?

June 20, 2016 in Commentary, News, Review, Society

It seems very odd that the DOJ would want to take the transcripts from the 911 call of the terrorist attack in Orlando and change the words. What purpose does that serve?

They took out references to ISIS. They also changed Allah to God. It’s hard to imagine why they would want to make those changes. You’d have to have been in the room when they were discussing the decision to be politically correct? Rewrite history? Dial down the fact that the shooter was loyal to ISIS and that this was an act of terror?

Who knows? Maybe all of those reasons fit. So, we need the recordings. And by the way, DOJ we are all grown people. We can handle the truth. Keeping sensitive information secret is what you do to five year olds. We don’t need coddled like that.

They released this statement:
“The purpose of releasing the partial transcript of the shooter’s interaction with 911 operators was to provide transparency, while remaining sensitive to the interests of the surviving victims, their families, and the integrity of the ongoing investigation. We also did not want to provide the killer or terrorist organizations with a publicity platform for hateful propaganda. Unfortunately, the unreleased portions of the transcript that named the terrorist organizations and leaders have caused an unnecessary distraction from the hard work that the FBI and our law enforcement partners have been doing to investigate this heinous crime. As much of this information had been previously reported, we have re-issued the complete transcript to include these references in order to provide the highest level of transparency possible under the circumstances.”

OD: Where in Orlando?

[End of call.]

She Was Told To Cover Up On Television In This Bit Of Overreaction FAIL

May 16, 2016 in Commentary, Entertainment, Society, Television

As I watched the clip for the first time, I thought nothing of it. It’s a weather lady telling people about weather conditions. She has a dress on, but she’s totally appropriate. That’s why I was slightly confused when I saw the sweater being dangled to the side of the screen. The anchor was telling her to put it on.

Why in the world would she need to cover up?

He said that they were getting emails! What kind of emails? Telling her how nice she looked. Seriously, this little exchange is confusing. But then again, I do work in an environment where it’s nothing to see girls half naked. So when I see a lady in a dress showing off some shoulder, I don’t think much of it.

Tell Me What You Think Of This

Then, He Posts His Proud Accomplishment

Okay, what could these emails possibly have said if they were objecting to what she was wearing. Come on! It gets into the strange area when you’re telling her to cover up.

And Then The Outcry

Are We Dressing Each Other Now?

So Of Course, He Had To Come Forward With An Apology

But, I Want The Evidence Of These So-Called Emails

Well, I guess there you have it. Some people in this world are so critical of other people. Do they really sit there watching the show looking for things to complain about?

I don’t know people. Start enjoying life more and being miserable less. That’s about all I have to say about it.

What did you think of her dress? SHARE this with your friends on Facebook and let them take a look!

Lady Gaga Brings Down The Tears At The Oscars With ‘Til It Happens To You’

March 3, 2016 in Celebrities, Commentary, Entertainment, Music, News, Review, Shows, Society, Television

The message is clear. You don’t know how it feels until it happens to you. What is she talking about?

She’s talking about rape. Finding a credible statistic on rape is difficult because many of them go unreported. The victims might be ashamed. They may not want to put their business out there. They may not want to be dragged through the legal system of getting checked at the hospital, getting interrogated by police, running through that moment over and over again until they just want to scream.

There are plenty of reasons that a rape victim won’t ask for help. But, the U.S. Department of Justice conducted a National Crime Victimization Survey and concluded that over 290,000 people are victims of rape and sexual assault each year. That actually comes out to 1 victim within every 2 minute time frame.

When Lady Gaga took the stage at the Oscars, her performance brought tears to everyone’s eyes. She has a great voice and it’s a powerful one. More performances like this might bring more victims forward. No longer ashamed. No longer paralyzed by that awful moment. But, ready to step forward and do something about it.

If you like this performance, SHARE it with your friends on FACEBOOK and let them catch it too!

Is Butt Chugging Cough Syrup The Grossest Thing On The Internet

December 18, 2015 in Comedy, Commentary, Entertainment, kids, News, Review, Society

I do believe I am actually trying to start a debate and, for no reason at all. Just to have something to do. Actually, that’s not true. I really DO want to know what the grossest thing on the internet is.

First of all, it starts with this video “Exploring the internet with Katie Notopoulos.” In it she makes the claim that what she’s showing you is the grossest thing on the internet. I have to admit, it’s pretty gross. You’ll see what I mean when you watch.

But before you do that, can we all just admit that Katie Notopoulos is gorgeous? Of course, she’s intelligent and funny too. But, I like acknowledging beauty when I see it and she has it. Okay, enough of that. Check out a new trend that kids are trying. It’s what Katie notoriously claimed was the grossest thing on the internet.

By the way, here are the images that were blurred out:

Take a closer look!

You know what, get up in there!

Now that we have established what Katie thinks is the grossest thing on the internet, I’m just going to leave this video right here for you. Let me know if you don’t think this might be more gross! Of course, I’d like to see what you got. So don’t hesitate to SHARE a video or a photo and pass this around to all your friends on FACEBOOK!

What Kind of Saying is I’m Just Saying

December 7, 2009 in Commentary, Society

“I’m Just Saying” is such a widely used term that it now is the name of an online show with its own website.  But, what does it actually mean?

Let’s say you’re a journalist and you just uncovered the story of the century.  You have found some loophole in the system or some glaring hypocrisy among the lawmakers.  So, you gather your facts and you tell your story.  It blows our minds because you are so on target with information that your audience did not know…at all.

Then, you say, “I’m Just Saying.”

Why?  Why are you backing down now?

You’ve just got our attention and you’ve driven your point home.  Then, you ruin your momentum with, “I’m just saying.”  It’s a spineless way of saying, “I just reported on something that has the potential to make some huge waves.  But, I don’t want to be a part of the drama when the $#!? hits the fan.”

Oh, Let’s Comment on Society Once Again

November 28, 2009 in Commentary, Entertainment, Society

This following video is wrong in so many ways.  I laughed hysterically when I watched it because several thoughts went through my head:

“He got himself into this mess and he can get himself out.”

“How much is too much?”

“Is anyone going to offer any assistance at all?”

I know my first thought sort of contradicts my last thought.  But, that’s what this video makes you do.

This is one of those moments you won’t remember.  Your friends will be telling you about it and you’ll deny, deny, deny.  You will have no recollection of it all and you just won’t believe what your friends are trying to tell you.

Oh, wait!  You don’t have to take their word for it.  It’s all over the internet.  Millions of people will see it.

That’s what I want to comment on about our society.  This Internet world we live in now used to be so slow and impossible.  We didn’t know how to use it at the time.  If you wanted to get your message out, it could take days, weeks and even months to finally find one person to hear it.

But now, it’s the very thing that makes it possible for a girl in South Carolina to take off her clothes and a guy in California can watch her.  Plus, we have so many toys to play with too.

Digital cameras on cell phones make it possible for a businessman in New York to think he’s picking his nose in private, but a bunch of college kids in Florida know all about it.

And millions of hits within a few days are possible if a crying little girl is spilling her heart out over how badly everyone is treating Britney Spears.  That was a guy?  Oh, my bad.

This guy will never get a chance to deny that he was drunk off his @$$ in public.  Just remember, take a hint from all of the viral videos spinning around the internet.  Always act like there’s a camera on you.  Because, most likely there is one.
