The Booth at the End

An interesting new show, The Booth at the End is intriguing because I’m waiting to see how it all comes together. One man is being sent on an errand to kill a girl while another man is being sent on an errand to watch over a girl.  One young woman wants to be more beautiful, so she has to rob a bank.  An elderly lady has to use a bomb.

What is going on in this show?  I’m seeing that it could all be working against each other.  But, I’m also seeing another side to it.

The heart wants what the heart wants. But, what would you be willing to give up in order to have it?  The guy who kills the girl will most likely get arrested or killed, but his son will live.  He will get what he wants. But, he won’t be around to enjoy it.

The detective who had to kill an inmate now has a lead on a person who robbed a bank. He gets the money he wanted, then we learn that it was his son who robbed the bank.

So, I’m waiting to find out what happens to the girl who has to rob a bank. Then, how will she know she’s pretty enough? I’m thinking she’ll figure out she was pretty enough from the beginning.  But, she’ll feel a great sense of loss behind bars.

I know there is going to be so much depth to all the intertwining stories. But, I’m already seeing the underlining message.

Be careful for what you ask. Sometimes, it’s not exactly what you want. Ultimate goals are often just challenges to meet so that we can have other things in our lives. What makes us truly happy? It’s not money.  It’s what money can get us.  So, why don’t we just ask for those things instead?

Sometimes, rather than go straight for what we ultimately want, it’s best to enjoy the smaller challenges along the way. Take them on each one at a time. Relish the level that we have achieved.

Be happy with what you have! This is tough for some people to understand. If you can’t be happy with what you have, you’ll never be happy with anything else. You’ll never achieve happiness if you can’t enjoy a sunset, the smell of rose, coffee brewing in the morning and the many other things that make your life full now.  On your way to achievement, you will gain greater things. But, you will never learn to enjoy what you have if you don’t start now.

All that from a show?  Oh, I’m not finished yet.  I’m just getting started with this one!
